Blake Griffin has announced his retirement from the NBA after a 14-year career.
Griffin played for the Los Angeles Clippers, Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets, and Boston Celtics during his career.
The 33-year-old Griffin was a six-time NBA All-Star and was named to the All-NBA Second Team three times.
He averaged 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists per game over his career.
In a statement announcing his retirement, Griffin said, "I've decided to step away from the game of basketball."

Griffin played college basketball at Oklahoma, where he was a consensus first-team All-American and the National Player of the Year in 2009.

He helped lead the Clippers to the playoffs in six of his eight seasons with the team.
Griffin was traded to the Pistons in 2018 and spent the next two seasons with the team.
He signed with the Nets in 2020 and played two seasons with the team before signing with the Celtics for the 2022-23 season.
Griffin averaged 6 points and 5 rebounds per game in his final season.
He helped the Celtics reach the NBA Finals, where they lost to the Golden State Warriors in six games.
