Group Chief Transformation Officer Will Depart

Zurich Insurance Group Appoints Scaroni as CEO of Zurich Italia

Milan, Italy - November 16, 2023 - Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. (Generali) today announced that Mr. Bruno Scaroni, currently Group Chief Transformation Officer, will be leaving the company.

Scaroni's departure comes after a successful tenure at Generali, where he was responsible for leading the company's transformation efforts. He will join Zurich Insurance Group as CEO of Zurich Italia, effective immediately.

In his new role, Scaroni will be responsible for leading Zurich's operations in Italy, which is the company's second-largest market globally. He will also be a member of Zurich's Executive Committee.

Scaroni has extensive experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Generali, he held senior executive positions at Europ Assistance and Mediolanum Assicurazioni.
